Graphic 45 Halloween!

Hi Followers -
Just getting around to posting this Halloween layout I made at this years Croptoberfest.
I LOVE this paper!  And I used a technique with a mask and some modeling paste - which turned out awesome on the black cardstock!

This first page is me in 2010 and Justin in 1986!

And this one is me in 2005 and Justin in 1985

I typically don't scrap pictures that cross so many years like this but I was searching for pictures and got this idea and I really like how it turned it - I enourage you to scrap outside your box like this and see how it feels!

Thanks for looking and pleas leave me a comment!

Let's Celebrate with a Little White Pine

Welcome to Close to My Hearts White Pines! This is the SWAA Blog Hop for November.
And this is our holiday paper line - so there are Christmas trees and snowflakes on it but look at all the neat graphics also!   It can be used for so much more than Christmas layouts,
And the Compliments are so adorable!!

So you should have arrived here from Tammy's blog if you are on the Hop, or if you are just starting out here on mine, just click on the link below to hop on over to Jen Patricks blog and keep hopping all the thru.  We have 7 participants this month - don't miss a project :-)

Speaking of projects - here's mine:
I love this layout for New Year goals and a picture - not sure if it will be one of me or a picture of one of my goals.  I used the Ink Blots stamp set on page 92 of the main Idea Book ànd our water color paints for the background  - SO FUN!  My monthly Club Gals and I are doing a project with the watercolor paints so I've been experimenting with them a lot.  For this I worked a couple of colors together to get the lagoon-ish and the red colors to match the paper and used a brush to "paint" it on the stamp and then applied to the paper. Some of the background ink blots are stamped like normal also.  It was a lot of fun and I recommend trying it!
Isn't the glitter star gorgeous?!
Catherine Farnsworth Nowak made a layout that was my inspiration. You can check it out on her blog here.
We both used the November stamp of the month.  It's a good one - contact me or your consultant to order both White Pines and the stamp set.

Now hop on to Jen's Blog and see what she's made this month for us.
Have a wonderful Fall Day and eat something pumpkin! :-)

Close to My Heart Artwork with Sangria

Hello Blog Hop Followers!  :-)

If you are following the CTMH Stampers with an Attitude blog hop then you will have come here from Aggie Peters Blog The Creative Beehive.  If you haven't been there yet - be sure to go back and see what she made for us this month and leave her a comment.

It's time for us all to share Close to My Heart's October paper line which is Sangria.
I did a 2 page layout this month with some pictures I took on a trip to New York City with my son 2 years ago (how does time fly so fast?!).   I think the Sangria colors go nicely for Fall, what do you all think?  I didn't do any stamping this month!  Wow!   But the Sangria Compliments and Assortment were all I felt like I needed.  I especially love the little kraft camera diecuts!

This first page is from The High Line - its near Chelsea Market where they've built this amazing park on top of one of the old train tracks built up above the street level - pretty cool to see if you go to NYC!

The second page is from Wall Street and that area -  its quite something to stand in front of the New York Stock Exchange and think about all that is happening inside the building!   And I really tried to get a picture of the bull with no crazy tourists touching him, but alas after 10 minutes we gave up and snapped one  :-)

I hope you enjoy seeing the way I've used our beautiful Sangria - now hop on over to Denise's Blog and see what she's done this month.

Thanks for stopping by - leave me a comment about Sangria or New York!
Have a Fabulous Fall Day!

SWAA Blog Hop - Nevermore Artwork

Hello again and welcome to another monthly Blog Hop with the Stampers With An Attitude!  This month we are focusing on the Nevermore paper line.  This paper is so much more versatile than I first thought.

If you are on the Hop you will have arrived here from Vicki O'dell's blog and I hope you will continue on through all 8 of our stops.  Remember that we love your comments and we'd love to help you create some of these projects yourself - be sure to contact your Close to My Heart Consultant to purchase some wonderful new products from our newly released Annual Inspirations catalog.
If you don't already have a consultant please feel free to contact me or shop on My Website.

For my first project I did the obvious, a Halloween card with the Nevermore paper - I love this little goblin - he is from the new Artistry Cricut cartridge - adorable, isn't he?!

2 slightly different versions - the glitter paper is hard to photograph but I love it on this card - the green strip is one of our newest color shimmer trims - so fun to work with!  The sentiment is from a new Hostess Reward stamp set called Say It All - book a party and get it for $8 - it has 19 different sentiments!

And now for something completely different with Nevermore!
This one is made with the September stamp of the month called Paper Garden; get it for $5 with any $50 order in September.
This paper goes from Halloween to elegant with ease, doesn't it?

This sentiment comes from Big Hug Occasions stamp set - be sure to check it out!  The paper and ink is our new Eggplant and Fern - the twine is Thistle.

I hope I've inspired you to purchase Nevermore  - check back here soon  - or better yet, click to the right to receive an e-mail whenever something new posts to my Blog - I've got several more Nevermore projects in the works.

Now head on over to Denise Elliott's Blog to see what she's made this month.
Thanks for joining us and don't forget - leave comments and feel free to ask questions!

SWAA Blog Hop Showing Zoe!

Hello again Blog Hoppers - we're glad you've joined us for the Stampers With an Attitude Blog Hop, led by our own Kimberly Moss, who you'll see in a few hops down this road = say Hi when you get there!

Here we are in August with our newest paper collection - Zoe - and boy is she a beauty!  The more I play with her, the more I like her   :-)   And the Compliments and Assortment pack were a lot of fun to work with.
If you are making the full circle you will have arrived here from Sheila's Stamping Stuff.   Please peruse my cards made with Zoe and then hop on down the road.  We have 10 Close to My Heart Consultants on the Blog Hop this month and they'll all show you something different.  Feel free to leave a happy comment for each one if you've enjoyed their artwork - we love receiving those messages - Thanks!!

While trolling on Pinterest last week I found a lot of Pins called One Sheet Wonders.
Hhhhmmmmm....   What is this?!   I HAD to investigate.  I found lots of projects you make using only one sheet of, usually 12 x 12, but some were 8-1/2 x 11, sheets of paper.  I had to try it and thought Zoe and this Blog Hop was the perfect time to give it a go.

The following 7 cards were made with just one sheet of Zoe B &  T (who knows what B &  T stands for? We all know its pattern paper, right?  But the first one of my customers that comments with what it really stands for will get a little giftie in their next order ;-) wink), 7 white card bases, part of the strip at the top of the B &  T, and several small scraps I had on my desk and they just had to make their way on to these cards!

These 2 cards use the stamp set called Friendly Pets.  I had to give the pup some googly eyes which are NOT CTMH but I just had to  ;-)   I also colored the hearts with sorbet ink and our blending pen, then put Liquid Glass on top which really makes them stand out in person.

These 3 incorporate a bit of White Shimmer Trim, which I love with the Glacier blue color of this paper.

These last couple have Sequins and Bitty Sparkles - always winners on any project, yes?!  :-)

Each card incorporates some of the Compliments, which have been revamped a bit; along with the great stickers you're used to, Zoe also has some Vellum and Kraft die cuts, which were fun.  Can you pick out the adhesive-backed, faceted Gems from the assortment package?     LOVE those!!

Before I say Goodbye and move you along to the next Blog, here are 2 more cards I made with Zoe:

Ok everyone - I hope you enjoyed your time here, now please click here to move on to Jen Patricks blog, RoxyBonds and see what she has made for us this month.  Remember to leave comments and to contact your Favorite CTMH Consultant to place your order for any of these awesome new products!

Summer and Vacation Projects Blog Hop

Welcome again to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop for July!

We have a bit smaller group this month - lots of gals were crazy busy and out of town vacationing at our Close to My Heart Convention in Disneyland! Maybe you will see some sneak peaks of new products on their blogs.... crossing my fingers for you - and for me - since I was not able to make it to Convention this year. But stay tuned Ladies and Gentlemen!  CTMH has some amazing new stuff coming your way!

You should have arrived here from Melinda's Blog - If You Bling It.  Be sure to follow along to the other 3 Blogs and get some ideas for your Summer and Vacation Projects.

I used our Seaside paper to create these 2 layouts, along with 6 others - please come back and see them all, hopefully next week!  I don't have pictures on my pages yet as I am using these for a Retreat that I helped hostess last weekend.
The theme was a cruise to Hawaii  :-)  we had such a great time and one gal graciously offered to put ALL of our pictures on one disk so I will print those this week, get them on the pages and then re-post.

I wanted to do a layout that I could get a lot of pictures on and this one fit the bill. I used the stamps from the Seaside Workshop on the Go, which I LOVE! I also used some of the metal pieces from the assortment, which sadly are no longer available BUT at this very moment the Seaside paper, WOTG and Stickease ARE still available, so order quick if you love them, too.
(Secret:  The WOTG has the metal embellishments in it!!  Click here to order now: My CTMH Website)
I'm going to add more of the Stickease and some Sequins and Aqua Dots once I get my pictures on the pages.

I'm sorry I couldn't get my pictures a bit brighter - I'll work on that with the next batch I post :-)

This next layout I wanted to show you because I brought in all kinds of fun stuff we got at the Retreat.  I was worried how well my outside items would match my paper but with a little thought and creative shifting of papers I was able to include this sign and napkin and my Room Key along with the Ship - we each had one on our beds :-) as well as 2 regular size photos and one small spot for journaling.  So always keep all those fun little things from your trips - you all do that already though, right?

Thanks for stopping by - If you have enjoyed my artwork today and would like to see more Seaside pages, please sign up on the right to get an e-mail when I put any new posts on my Blog.  And please also feel free to pass the link for our Blog Hop to your friends.  We love your comments!

Next on the Hop is Melisssa at My Heartfelt Sentiments.  Go see her and leave her some love in the comments.

See you next week - enjoy what we have left of Summer and Vacation Times!

My first card is one I designed for my Dad for Father's Day - I used a sheet of Pacifica from the Basics paper pack - if you've not used these papers yet, check them out on page 174 of the Idea Book - they're great.  The frame is from the May stamp of the month set and the sentiment is from one of the Cricut sets called Just to Say.

Next, I made this card for a Make N Take for a Stamp Show here in Tucson today! :-)
Some of you may have been there and I THANK YOU for coming to the Show.

I used the paper from Wanderful and this stamp set called Fast and Furious:

Close to My Heart's Taste of Summer Artwork Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers With an Attitude blog hop for May!
If you are hopping through our list you should have arrived here from Denise Elliotts Blog, Art with Attitude.

We are showing you artwork made with CTMH's May paper special called Taste of Summer, filled with lots of beautiful fruity prints.  I chose to make my cards with the backsides of the papers which are bright, vibrant colors, what do you think?  You can also purchase a matching stamp set for $17.95, which I did not use on these projects.

Same card - 2 color schemes.

Do you absolutely LOVE our new tiny staples?  I do!!!   And the spirograph stamp set is called Dizzy Circles Flair - my favorite stamp set in the newest Seasonal Expressions. I also used white shimmer trim and some of our new thin washi tape  - fun stuff!  You can buy all these products on my website.

For my last card I went a different direction and pulled in some Blossom stickease which I thought blended nicely with the Taste of Summer colors.

Thank you so much for joining us this month and I hope you will bookmark our blogs for next month and to see other artwork throughout the month to come!
Now hop on over to Melinda's site and see what she's made with Taste of  Summer.

Seasonal Expressions Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Close to My Heart blog hop - enjoy artwork made by lots of consultants using products found in our first ever Seasonal Expressions catalog.   You should have arrived here from Melissa's blog.  I chose to use Heartstrings this month. I hope you enjoy our cards and projects and get lots of inspiration from us.

My favorite thing in the new Catalog is the Amour stamp set - the Eifel Tower is my newest bucket list item!  This was my first easel card and I used it in a card swap in January.

This is the card on page 4 - 2nd favorite stamp set is A Thing Well Done in the Hostess Rewards section. Both types of embossing really kick this card up a notch- try it!

These are called Screen Divider cards - new to me but they sure were fun!  Cut card base 11 x 5-1/2 -fold in half, then both sides in half again.  It's less confusing than it sounds ;-) give it a go  :-)  Use an edge punch to design the top and the bottom "legs" are punched with the decorative label punch (from "that other company" LOL).  Then decorate to your hearts content....  with Heartstrings Complements!

And my final project to share with you today:
A My Creations Pennant Frame.  These are so easy with the Artbooking Cricut cartridge! You cut the frame in your choice of paper & it magically fits just perfectly.  Then I decorated with white shimmer - SO pretty - washi tape & pieces I cut from the Picture My Life cards.

I hope you've enjoyed your time here with me and please don't stop yet - hop on over to Belinda's  blog, and be sure to leave comments for all of us - we love those!

Have a great day -come visit again soon!
