Project from our Gathering on Tuesday

OK, so owls are not normally my "thing" - but what about this guy?!  I really liked him!  :-)
Sorry that my photos are awful  :-(  I am going to ask Santa for a new digital camera, unless I find a smokin' deal somewhere before then.

So Mr. Owl here was made with the Dream Pop paper which was the CTMH special for May - great paper in that pack - can't wait to see what my gal pals make with it!   The flower was cut with three graduating sizes of the same flower on the Art Philospohy Cricut cartridge wiht the pretty cotton candy and sunset paper in the pack and - jujjed a bit with sunset ink (that's distressed for you who don't know me ;-) ), then used a retired blingie button in the middle with some waxy flax for fun in the middle.
If you LIKE that waxy flax, Friends, be sure to order it NOW because it is retiring 7/31 or when it runs out!

OK - Back tomorrow with a great post - 10 Cards in 20 Minutes!  (Or so she said!)

Father's Day

Ok - It's been a little while since I posted - I am trying to make sure I post regularly before I ask anyone to follow my Blog - I better get better, huh?!  ;-)

Below is a Father's Day card we made in the card class on June 1st - A*muse paper and retired CTMH stamps - I like it a lot though.  What do you think?

Master Chef new Season has started!

In honor of Master Chef starting up again - here's one of my pictures from Vegas!   We didn't eat at his restaurant - although I'm sure he missed us, but alas.....

We had reservations in Paris!!
Seriously though - I DO recommend checking out Master Chef - those of you who know me know my elimination show addiction, but this one is pretty cool and you get to see Gordon Ramsey in a much better light than he is on Hell's Kitchen, which even "I" can't tolerate watching!  LOL

OK - one more picture from Vegas:
This is one of my favorite pictures of Justin and I - he blesses me in so many ways - I just LOVE when we can spend crazy, fun times together like this!  We went on the rollercoaster at New York New York right after this - LOVE love LOVE that rollercoaster - worth ALL $14!!!!

I'll be back soon with more artwork - but I didn't want to go TOO long without posting anything  :-)

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

New Class Available!

Hello All!

I am going to try to start posting pictures of my artwork on my Blog finally!  Cool, huh?!   I hope you will bookmark my page and give me a hard time - in the comments or by e-mail if I fall down on the job, ok?!   I will appreciate the accountability   :-)

So - obviously you got my e-mail forcing encouraging you to come here to the blog to see what, where and when about the class.

It will be a Paper Bag card Class!   I am LOVING  these cards right now  :-)
Here is a sample of one of the cards we will make:

Do you love it too?  These cards are great for a gift card in the front pocket - where the clothespin holds a tag now - also the top pocket could hold a number of photos from a birthday party or shower or other event.  In class we will be making a tag like this orange one to go in the pocket.

Some of you will be making this card at our Gathering on Tuesday nite but with Close to My Heart's amazing double-sided pattern paper you can just turn the paper over and have the same card with a bit different look, if you want to.  There will be a 2nd card - this style but with the black and white For Always paper pack.  The 3rd card will be a different style card - still a paper bag card - and a totally different paper - that one will be a surprise but I'm sure you will love it!  Then I will throw in a "regular" card - I'll definitely make it a SPECIAL regular card though!

Class Cost:      All 4 cards for a total of $22
Class Date:      Saturday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. (until about 4:30 or 5:00)

I would like to get RSVP's and payment for this class by May 26th so that I can have everything prepared for you.

You will need to bring your basic toolkit with a paper trimmer (just in case - everything will be cut but you may want/need to trim a bit) scissors, taperunner and glue dots - especially plan on bringing your ScorTape ~~or boo-hiss ~~ red tape (I don't love the red tape personally, but I know some people are good with it  ;-) ) and foamies (pop-up dots to the normal person - LOL).

Let me know if you have any questions and please RSVP by e-mail to azsmistygirl@aol.com

Thanks and have a Crafty Day!~
:-)  Wendy

Sorry my picture quality isn't fabulous  ;-)   I've had this card made for quite a while.  This was the first stamp I HAD to have when the new catalog came out.  Behind the sentiment is the same shape -cut with the Cricut cartridge - Artiste I think - in the slightly blue shade of silver glitter paper - my favorite in the black pack! then layered with black.  The bottom layer is our black and white paper called For Always - the bling is CTMH's small Sparkles Clear Flourishes - only $4.95 and there are 5 total flourishes in the pack - this is just  a small piece of one of them. - the little button is black assortment and the elegant ribbon is ours too!  Satin polka dot ribbon - 5 yards for $4.95 - such a deal!
Hope you like the card - its for someone special for graduating from nursing school.

Here is another Mother's day card I made with Chantilly and Outdoor Denim - just loved this color combination - don't you?   :-)   I sold this to someone at work - I hope his wife liked it - he never said - Boyz!

Mother's Day is Sunday

Someone at work requested a Mother's Day card with roses for an older woman - whadya all think?  How'd I do?  :-)  My friend Wanda gave me this paper pad a couple weeks ago and oh my gosh it is EXACTLY what I needed for this card!   The white flower ribbon is Close to My Heart as well as the stick pin - hard to see but the seam binding bow (Stampin Up) is wrapped around it - the butterfly is Stampin Up's punch.

I'm going to try to start posting more of my creations here so check back - and give me a very hard time if I don't, ok?    Thanks for the assist!
