Close to My Heart makes Magical Moments!

Welcome to June's Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop.  This month we are using Magical - it is so much fun!   I hope you enjoy all our artwork - we have 5 Bloggers participating this month.  Lots of Consultants are at Convention RIGHT NOW!   (I'm not....  sad face...  but hoping to be able to make next years :-) )

If you're following the hop then you would have arrived here from Sheila's Blog.  I'm sure she made something amazing for us to enjoy and try for ourselves.

Please enjoy my artwork now and then hop to the other blogs for more ideas!

Magical looks crazily like the Happiest Place on Earth designed it, but nope!  It's Close to My Heart!  ;-)   There ARE some Super Cute Stamp Sets that match this paper line with rollercoasters, castles and ferris wheels and the Compliments are OMGosh SO CUTE  and SO USABLE for so much more than... um... you know - the Mouse vacation pictures  ;-)
In fact, I chose to make a cactus card with it!!  Someone asked me for a "cactus card" to send to her exchange student in Germany and we are in Arizona!  My eyes lit up thinking about our cactus thin cuts and stamp set.  Because it was for a teenage girl I wanted to make it bright and fun, not super Southwest, ya know?
I really enjoy using our lines for something other than the first obvious choice.

I hope you like it - I layered some of the PML cards that come in the paper pack - never used them like this before and I really like it - try it!  Finished it off with some of the chipboard compliments and some sequins.  The card is 6"x6" so I had plenty of room to add all the fun!

Now hop on over to Cat's page and see what wonderful thing she has designed for us.

Please remember to contact me or your current Close to My Heart Consultant to order these or any other CTMH products.  Only one more month to order out of our Annual Inspiration Ideabook!   Get what you love now before they retire or run out!

Oh How I Love Calypso Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog for this months Hop with the Stampers With An Attitude group.  We are making projects with the Calypso paper line and/or beach themes.  I wasn't sure at first if I would like the Calypso paper theme - say Hello pink flamingo's!  :-)   but turns out I LOVED  playing with them!

Welcome if you are coming from Melinda's blog!   I hope you will check out my projects below and then hop all the way through the entire Hop - we have 10 Close to My Heart Consultants participating this month - please leave some love in the Comments for each of them.

My first project is my very first shaker card. I made this with my monthly Club gals - we are looking for more Members for our Club so please e-mail me if you are interested in the details about joining us!

My next project is a scrapbook layout.  I was looking at the layout on page 26 of the Seasonal Expressions book and started laying some scraps down from my card project and this layout sort of built itself.  I LOVE when that happens!   I used one B&T sheet and one Cotton Candy sheet of cardstock for my base pages.  Wasn't sure how I would like the "mismatched " base pages but I think it's fine, don't you?!

Do you usually use matching base pages or mix them up? Leave us a comment about that!
Here are all the embellishments that came with the Calypso Workshop Your Way  - aren't they yummy?!

AND LAST nite I made a pineapple Planner Layout!  SO FUN!

OK - thanks for looking at my artwork - now click  HERE  to see what Tammy has in store for us with Calypso and the Beach.  Enjoy the other 9 Blogs and came back and join us again next month!

My Big 50!!

So.... way back on 2/28 I did a couple of Easter cards with Close to My Hearts Penelope paper line and I told you I was going to do a layout in my Planner which I posted on 4/27 and also I showed a pile of paper and embellishments that I'd planned to use for a layout.  I ended up putting 3 layouts together for my birthday in March and I love how they turned out!   I did just one page at a time so you could see as much detail as possible.   I apologize for the less than stellar photos - I'm strugglign with trying to make those turn out better!

Check out CTMH's Georgie paperline.....

It ain't just for babies!  LOL

I've joined the Blog Hop with the Stampers With an Attitude this month and we are all using either the Georgie paper line or making Father's Day cards.  If you are following the Hop you've come from Tammy's Blog and if you are starting with my blog then be sure to hop through all 5 of our sites and projects.

I wasn't much interested in Georgie at first but thought I'd give it a go for this Blog Hop anyway.  I'm so glad I did!  This card came together so easily using the stamp of the Month for May, glacier twine and gray enamel gems.

Give Georgie a try and tell me how YOU like it!

Now hop on over to Catherine's Blog and see what she's made with Georgie.
Enjoy the Hop and come again next month!

It's time for Regatta and Mother's Day Samples!

Welcome to this month's Blog Hop with Stampers with an Attitude!  I got it together and remembered to sign up this month  ~~wink~~
If you like, jump back to last month and check out my Penelope layout while you're here if you missed it last month - LOL
I thought I had signed up for the Hop, but I didn't get on the list.  Woops  :-)
If you are following along on the Hop you will have come from Cat's Blog.  I hope you'll hop along (tomorrow's Easter - get it?!) to each and every Blog participating this month.

This months highlighted paperline Regatta, looks at first like its all anchors boats and ocean.  Which is awesome stuff!  But not everyone feels like they have pictures or need cards in that subject.  So.... take a look at my cards - I used some anchors and lobsters but this kit has lots of flowers and nice sayings in the Compliments as well, making it very easy to use.  The quote on the top left card came from one of the strips at the top of the 12 x 12 paper.  I love that Close to My Heart has made those strips so "usable"!  Most of the cards have at least one of the Maritime Puffies that come in the Workshop Your Way (or separately, of course) and 2 use the gorgeous, soft, easy to tie into bows ribbon.   I also used some Blue Enamel Dots on each card.  I love how the different shades matched so well with Regatta colors.

I hope you like my cards and I can't for us all to see what the other 8 CTMH Consultants have done with Regatta paper or Mother's Day cards.  Let's go get some ideas - start next with Belinda's Blog.

Please leave myself and the others comments on our Blogs  :-)
THANKS for visiting - please come back!
(Remember you can sign up on the top right section of my Blog to get and e-mail notification when I post, which is generally once a month).

Penelope Will Give a Great Pop of Color and Fun!

Welcome to the February Stampers With an Attitude Blog Hop!

Oh wait......  I forgot to sign up this month!!  Darnit!   OK figure I will still post though, right?  :-)

This month each consultant will either be using Penelope OR making an Easter project.

I made the cards, with some tiny changes, that the Close to My Heart corporate office gave us instructions for.  They are for the Workshop Your Way and you can print them at my Website  or order the Workshop and I will include a copy in your order!  The Workshop Your Way gives instructions for three 2-page layouts, one Picture My Life layout and 4 different cards (you may need a stamp set or other minimal ingredients to complete the cards).

I also used the Spring Critters and matching ThinCuts - aren't they cute?!

This pile of ideas is for one of the layouts on page 16 of the Seasonal Expressions Book.  I, of course, will tweak it a bit for my own liking  ;-)   Check back later (or request to be e-mailed by this site when I post anything new) to see exactly what I do with it!

I think I will also do a weekly layout in my Planner - stay tuned for that also!

Thanks for stopping by my Blog and please let me know what you think of Penelope and if you have any questions or orders I can help you with.

La Vie En Rose Blog Hop

Happy New Year Everyone!  I hope it's starting out amazing for all of you!
I am looking forward to a healthier 2016 and wish the same for you

This months Stampers With An Attitude Blog Hop is using La Vie En Rose - the paper pack that Close to My Heart is emphasizing this month - it's in the large yearly Idea Book and it's an amazing mix of black and white patterns - really nice - really usable for lots of situations.
If you're following the Hop you've come from Sheila Bennett's Blog.

My first samples are Sympathy cards - unfortuantely I needed several in recent time and so I made extra.  I used 2 different black and white patterns with a border of 2 of our new colors - Peacock and Fern - I am liking Fern more and more the more I use it.  The flower stamp set is January's stamp of the month and the sentiment is from Big Hug on page 74 of the main catalog.

The second card is with 4 different patterns and the fun Postive Chemistry stamp set on page 65.  So cute!  When I saw it I had to make this card which I cased from another consultant and I'm sorry I didn't keep her name to give credit!  My friend Lynne is a teacher and had to make this for her!
The gold border is a new embellishment which is really fun and can become elegant depending how you use it.

Please hop on to the others blogs and enjoy our artwork!  The next on the hop is Jen Patrick's
Thank you and have a great day!
